Atrium Network has opened two new points of presence (POPs) in Chicago. The POPs are located in the same key infrastructure points as the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (350 Cermac) and Chicago Board Options Exchange (400 LaSalle).

Network packet capture specialist Endace has partnered with latency monitoring application vendor Correlix to offer an integrated network and latency monitoring platform for the capital markets industry. The joint solution, Endace NinjaProbe with Correlix Latency Intelligence, integrates latency monitoring and analysis software into a multi-function probe and sensor.

BT is partnering with Corvil to provide network latency management in addition to its connectivity and proximity services. It will offer CorvilNet, which monitors, analyses and optimises electronic trading infrastructures and will dedicate a team of business consultants and IT specialists to identify hotspots and make recommendations to optimise a customer’s infrastructure.
