BATS Exchange, an alternative US stock exchange, and NYSE Technologies have launched BATS Multicast PITCH real-time depth of book data feed via NYSE Technologies’ Secure Financial Transaction Infrastructure (SFTI) network.

Correlix, Inc, provider of Latency Intelligence solutions that monitor, measure and analyse trading execution and market-data flows in real-time, and Aleri, a provider of high performance complex event processing (CEP) technology and CEP-based solutions, have formed a joint alliance. The combination of the two solutions helps to pinpoint latency with real-time transaction optimization and enhance trading strategies.

Equinix is to offer high performance colocation and low-latency connectivity solutions to Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) market participants through Equinix’s two Tokyo International Business Exchange (IBX) data centres. TOCOM market participants will be able to colocate their electronic trading data infrastructure in close proximity to the vibrant financial community within Equinix’s network-neutral centres.

Progress Software Corporation, a global provider of application infrastructure software used to develop, deploy, integrate and manage business applications, today announced a partnership between Progress Apama and Object Trading, specialists in direct market access (DMA) for ultra high frequency buy side and sell side market participants. The combination delivers an integrated trading solution that enables ultra high-frequency traders to create and manage unique algorithmic strategies, and deploy them on a low latency infrastructure for pricing distribution and order execution directly on over 40 futures and options exchanges worldwide.

Latency monitoring specialist Correlix has launched RaceTeam, designed to manage inter-party latency visibility between trading partners. Options IT, a provider of technology infrastructure to hedge funds, proprietary trading firms and brokerages, has joined the service, and so will be alerted to latency bottlenecks in real-time, so their clients executing quantitative trading strategies will be able to monitor and eliminate trading latencies throughout the execution process.

Messaging vendor Tervela is partnering with Arista Networks, which specialises in 10 Gigabit Ethernet networking, to offer a high-performance messaging architecture, incorporating application-aware switches and in-network services for information state and data persistence. As well as being pitched at low latency trading applications, the offering is also being positioned as a cloud infrastructure enabler.

Solace Systems is working with Tokyo-based trading technology provider MetaBit, which is adopting Solace 3260 Content Routers to boost the performance of their trading platforms, including the XiliX FIX-enabled DMA market access system and MLH liquidity hub.

CFN Services is now offering fiber-based low latency connections to key Toronto exchanges: Alpha Trading, Pure Trading, Omega ATS, Match Now, TMX Group and Chi-X Canada. The new connectivity adds to that already available to New York/New Jersey, Chicago, London and Frankfurt.
